"Women are the backbone of all societies. They do a substantial part of the work, and play a major role in raising the future generation yet they are largely powerless. The decisions that count are made by men and foisted upon women."

What Women Want – XXXV. Final Thoughts (2 of 5)

The war of the sexes

The war waged between the sexes has been going on since time
immemorial.  Of relevance to this article is that this battle
carries on in every household.  Perhaps it is in the natural
order of things, in this case I would say, “fight if you must,
but please remember that you are inextricably linked and that
ultimately you have to work together.”

Most of our literature, music, and art is inspired by the
love of man for woman and woman for man.  Rare is the book,
movie, or play where is not some romance.  In many cases, it is
central to the story.  A great part of our thoughts are about the
opposite sex.  A lot of energy is generated; the air almost
crackles with it.  If it was mostly positive, our lives would be
blissful.  But it is not.  Isn’t it time to call a truce?

Henry Kissinger once said:  “Nobody will ever win the battle
of the sexes.  There is too much fraternizing with the enemy.”*
If it’s always destined to be a draw, then what’s the point?  Are
we mature enough to cooperate and bring a measure of peace to
warring families?
