What Women Want – XXXVII. Final Thoughts (4 of 5)

Trading in the marketplace
Surely a woman cannot hope to find a mate who meets all the
aforementioned criteria. Such a man doesn’t exists; a special
order will have to be placed! There is therefore a need to
compromise.
What a given woman is willing to forego will depend on her
personality, what she herself will bring to the potential union,
and the circumstances.
For instance, an educated woman will want an educated man.
If he is well educated, holds her attention, and is reasonably
attractive, she may even be willing to accept him even if he is
short! Then again, if she is 6′ tall, and he is 5’5″, this
merger will not take place! But wait, maybe I am too hasty.
This guy has a salary in the 6 figures, has a sizable bank
account, and owns a beautiful home. In this case, a few inches
do not matter, do they?
Human nature being what it is, it’s a marketplace out there.
Beauty seeks beauty. Look at the couples around you; they are
both good-looking or plain-looking. Along the same lines, wealth
is looking for wealth, education is looking for education, and on
it goes.
We expect to receive equivalent value to what we provide.
Why would a very attractive woman not be looking for a gorgeous
guy? Swaps are possible of course. I’ll exchange my beauty and
youth for your wealth!
The trap we fall in is that there are exceptions to this
rule. A woman with beauty, education, breed, and money can fall
for an average guy. It’s not a bedtime story. It happens in
real life. But these are exceptions. The intelligent individual
seeks her or his own level, and doesn’t wait for a miracle.
Unfortunately, many people do wait for miracles, and waste years
of their lives in the process.
