The Sublime Adventure – IX. Why Are We Here? (3 of 3)

I have previously said that ascending mortals are
invaluable on two counts. I discussed the gradual knowledge and
experience that is added through the ages. The second one is our
sheer number.
On the system of Satania we presently have 619 planets, “…
and more than two hundred additional planets are evolving
favorably toward becoming inhabited planets at some future time.”
[P182].
On our planet we have 6 billion inhabitants. In a century
from now, most of the people on the planet will have passed on
and be replaced by new generations.
In varying degrees, the same apply to other planets on the
system.
The story doesn’t end there. There is an estimated 7
billion systems in the universe!
Don’t try to calculate it by making assumptions: average
number of planets in a system, average number of inhabitants on a
planet, and so on. I am providing you with tentative figures to
give you an idea of the immensity and majesty of God’s creation.
As well, I want to emphasize the fact that you’re one of God’s
children, and that you are needed to further his creative
endeavors.
Once you’ve found God, attained Paradise, you’re mustered
into the Corps of the Finality. Paradise is not your final
destination. Indeed there is no such thing as a “final
destination.” The Book puts it as follows:
“Notwithstanding that these ascendant mortals have attained
Paradise, have been mustered into the Corps of the Finality, and
have been sent back in large numbers to participate in the
conduct of local universes and to assist in the administration of
superuniverse affairs – in the face of even this apparent
destiny, there remain the significant fact that they are of
record as only sixth-stage spirits. There undoubtedly remains
one more step in the career of the Mortal Corps of the Finality.
We do not know the nature of that step …” [P347 & 348]. (More
will be said on the Corps of the Finality in a subsequent
section).
The Revelators knowledge do not go beyond Paradise destiny.
However, they speculate about future and outer universes (in
addition to the present seven superuniverses). Their
speculations are based on the observation of “… a vast and new
system of universes gradually organizing in the domains of outer
space.” They go on to say about these universes that they “…
are able to identify the clustering of at least seventy thousand
aggregations of matter, each of which is greater than any one of
the present superuniverses.” [P354].
Considering the thorough training we receive, the Celestial
Beings have little doubt in their minds as to a role for us in
these future universes. They ask themselves the question: “Why
should the Gods be so concerned in so thoroughly training
surviving mortals in the technique of universe management?”
[P348].
I close with these two beautiful passages from the Book:
“There is in the mind of God a plan which embraces every
creatures of all his vast domains, and this plan is an eternal
purpose of boundless opportunity, unlimited progress, and endless
life. And the infinite treasures of such a matchless career are
yours for the striving!”
“The goal of eternity is ahead! The adventure of divinity
attainment lies before you! The race for perfection is on!
whosoever will may enter, and certain victory will crown the
efforts of every human being who will run the race of faith and
trust, depending every step of the way on the leading of the
indwelling Adjuster and on the guidance of that good spirit of
the Universe Son, which so freely has been poured out upon all
flesh.” [P365].
